Pokey and his father are later seen working as business consultants for Fourside's mayor Geldegarde Monotoli. In the English version, it is indicated he was trying to trick Ness into letting him escape, while in the Japanese version, he did genuinely try to make amends, but misinterpreted Ness's silent protagonist status as him refusing and decided he'll have to continue being evil because Ness wouldn't buy his apology. His sincerity regarding his attempt at befriending Ness during this time varied between versions. After the cult is disbanded, he tries to befriend Ness again, only to run off.
